    Kentucky Hot Brown Bake

    Source of Recipe

    my buddy Renne

    Recipe Introduction

Ok...a couple of weeks ago my buddy, Renne, saw a recipe somewhere that she thought sounded good and she shared it with me. I printed it off and carried it around in my purse thinking I might try it one of these days. So, when I went to WallyWorld today, I decided to get the stuff and make it. "Kentucky Hot Brown Bake". So, I put it together and texted Renne to tell her that I was giving it a try and that it was in the oven. And asked if she had made it yet. She texted back "Mine is in the oven, too!" oooooeeeeeewwwwww (creepy music). Anyway, it was pretty tasty. And we sort of tried/ate it together at the same time...just in different houses. Cool.

    List of Ingredients

8 oz roll of crescent rolls
1 lb. pkgd smoked turkey lunch meat
    8 slices cooked bacon
    8 slices swiss cheese
    3 roma tomatoes, sliced thin
    4 eggs, beaten

    Recipe

    Preheat oven to 350*.
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 2 squares.
Spray an 8x8 pan and press one square or 1/2 of the package of the crescent rolls into the pan.
Layer with half the turkey, bacon, cheese and tomatoes.
Pour half the eggs over the top.
Repeat the layers of turkey, bacon, cheese and tomatoes.
    Top with remaining dough square.
    Pour remaining eggs over top.
Bake for 20 min covered with foil. Remove foil and bake another 25 min.
Let sit at room temp for 20 min before serving.

**If I make it again I am going to try chopping the turkey instead of leaving it in slices. I would also maybe shred the cheese and chop the bacon. My thoughts are that it would be easier to eat without the layers trying to separate when cutting with your fork.
