    Oreo Truffles

    Source of Recipe

    Betty A Young

    Recipe Introduction

During Christmas, my mom (Mrs. Vera) and my daughter, (Keri Ann) would make different kinds of candy. These are Keri Ann's favorite and they may take a long time to make but the wonderful memories are worth it!

    List of Ingredients

    1 package oreo cookies
    1 package cream cheese (softened)
    1 package chocolate almond bark

    Recipe

Combine cookies and cream cheese in food processor until it is a powder consistancy.

Spoon out teaspoonful and roll in palm of hand into small balls.

    Refrigerate overnight to set.

Melt chocolate in microwave or double boiler.

Drop one truffle into chocolate and and scoop out using fork.

Tap on side of boiler to get off any extra chocolate.

Line up on parchment paper and let set.

Optional: Melt white chocolate almond bark and drizzle with fork over top.

If you have any chocolate left in boiler, drop peanuts and/or peanuts or even crushed peppermint in and mix well. Spread out on parchemnt paper and let set. Break into small pieces.

THIS IS A TWO PERSON JOB! ROLLING AND DIPPING TAKES A LONG TIME JUST FOR ONE! MAKE IT A FAMILY TRADITION!
