    Deer Stalkers Pie

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 cups cooked deer (cubed)
    • 4 slices bacon
    • 2 carrots thinly sliced
    • 1 cup english peas
    • 1/4 teaspoon thyme
    • 2-3 cups cooked mashed potatoes
    • Gravy made from cooking deer meat


    Instructions


    1. Cut up deer in small cubes and cook until done.


    2. Make gravy with the drippings from cooking the meat.


    3. Put cooked deer in 9 x 13 casserole dish.


    4. Fry bacon and crumble and add to deer cubes.


    5. In bacon fat, cook onions and carrots over medium heat until the onions are soft.


    6. Add to meat. Add Peas and thyme and gravy.


    7. Cover with mashed potatoes.


    8. Dot with butter.


    9. Bake at 425 degrees for 25-30 minutes until lightly brown.
