    Source of Recipe

    Betty A Young

    List of Ingredients

    • 20 chicken wings (whole or sections)
    • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    • 3 tablespoons garlic
    • 3 tablespoons creole seasoning
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • oil for frying
    • 1 cup hot pepper sauce
    • 1 cup honey
    • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
    • Creole Seasoning: (you can buy creole already made)
    • 2 1/2 tablespoon paprika
    • 2 tablespoons salt
    • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
    • 1 tablespoon black pepper
    • 1 tablespoon onion powder
    • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
    • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
    • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
    • Blue Cheese Dressing or Ranch Dressing for dipping

    Instructions

    1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Line baking sheet with parchment paper or nonstick aluminum foil.

Preheat deep fryer to 350 degrees.

    2. If using whole chicken wings you can cut up and disguard wing tips but you can just fold tip under and cook whole.

    3. In large bowl mix flour, garlic powder, creole seasoning, salt and black pepper.

    4. Sprinkle creole seasoning on raw chicken.

    5. Dredge chicken in flower mixture and set aside.

The flower will turn pasty and will not fall off when it hits the hot oil as if it was dry flour.

    6. Deep fry wings until crispy and golden brown. About 10 minutes.

    7. Remove from the oil and pat dry.

    8. Mix hot sauce, honey and brown sugar in large bowl.

    9. Toss to coat wings in sauce mixture.

    10. Place on backing sheet and cook about 12 minutes until the coating is dry.
