Makes 2 pie fillings
Boil 3/4 cup sugar and 1 cup water for 1 minute. Add 1 tsp vinegar, 1 pint elderberries and boil 2 minutes. Put in 1/2 cup blueberries, 1 1/4 cup water and 3/4 cup sugar and bring to a boil. Then add 6 T. corn starch mixed in 6 T. cold water. Cook until clear. Then add 3 T. lemon juice and 2 dashes of salt. Add 3 more cups of blueberries. Cool a bit before putting in pie shells. Dab with 2 T butter for each pie. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes and then turn the temperature down to 400 and bake for 35 minutes.
