    Banana Dippers
    Bananas - cut in chunks
    colored sugars
    cinnamon sugar
    peanut butter
    chopped nuts
    coconut
    ice cream sprinkles
    crushed cookies
    8 oz chocolate chips
    Peel the bananas and slice into several pieces.
    Place the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and cook on high
    until
    melted - about 1 minute, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
    Dip the banana slices in the chocolate, then roll them in other
    ingredients
    as desired
    from a recipe group that I am on...
    SKIP THE CHIPS AND SODA

    I guarantee if you call this a "Banana Split Salad"
    most kids won't even hesitate to dig in...

    1 banana
    2 tablespoons fruit preserves
    2 tablespoons cool whip
    lettuce and raisins

    Spilt banana down the center and place on a bed of lettuce.
    Spread on fruit preserves and cool whip. Top with raisins.

    MAKES 1

    BONUS Recipe for Taffy Apple Dip

    8 ounces cream cheese, softened
    3/4 cup brown sugar
    1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    1/2 cup peanuts (optional)
    6 apples of your choice, cut into wedges

    In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, brown sugar and vanilla
    until smooth. Spread mixture on a small serving plate; top
    with nuts. Serve with apple wedges or even graham crackers

    Cheesy Soft Pretzels
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon sugar
    3/4 teaspoon salt
    2 tablespoons cold butter or margarine
    2/3 cup milk
    1 egg, beaten
    coarse salt
    In a bowl, combine flour, cheese, baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in
    butter until crumbly. Stir in milk just until moistened. Knead on a
    floured surface
    for 1 minute; divide in half.
    Roll each portion into a 12-in. x 8-in. rectangle; cut each into
    8-in-long
    strips. Fold strips in half, pinching the edges, and twist into pretzel
    shapes.
    Place on greased baking sheets. Brush with egg and sprinkle with coarse
    salt.
    Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve
    immediately.

    Tiger Bites
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. marshmallows
    1/4 c. butter
    1/3 c. peanut butter
    7 1/2 c. or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. Frosted Flakes cereal

    In a 4 quart microwave bowl melt marshmallows and butter on high 3
    minutes, stirring after 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in peanut butter until
    mixture is smooth. Add Frosted Flakes cereal, stirring until well
    coated.

    Using a butter spatula or waxed paper. Press mixture into a lightly
    greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Cut into 1 1/2 x 2 inch bars.

    Yield 32 bars.

    cheese and crackers( 4-6 crackers per child is plenty, its not a meal,
    but a snack)
    crackers with a fun dip
    popcorn and pretzels
    peanuts and raisins
    bowls of cereal with milk
    cinnamon toast
    tuna fish salad sandwiches, crackers or even as a dip
    pizza bread( bread slices with pizza sauce and parmesean under the
    boiler for a minute or so)
    bagels and cream cheese, butter or jelly, or plain
    and also fruit, veggies and such like you already do
