    QUEEN ANNE'S WILD RICE QUICHE

    Category: Breakfast
    Number of Servings: 8

    Ingredients:
    1 cup cooked wild rice
    1/3 cup diced baked ham
    1/2 cup white onion, minced
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 cup (4 ounces) Wisconsin Monterey Jack Cheese, finely shredded
    3 large eggs, well beaten
    1 cup whipping cream
    1/2 cup half-and-half
    1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell, purchased or homemade

    Cooking Directions:
    Bake pastry shell at 425� F for 5 minutes. Do not prick shell. While shell is hot, dot with butter. Fill shell with rice, ham, Monterey Jack cheese and onion.

    Beat eggs in mixing bowl with electric mixer; blend in cream and half-and-half. Pour over ingredients in pastry shell. Reduce oven temperature to 350� F and bake quiche for about 50 minutes or until firm. Cut in wedges and serve warm.
