    Source of Recipe

    catgurrl at rc

    List of Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter (or margarine), softened
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 Tbsp snipped parsley
    1 Tbsp water
    2 tsp white wine vinegar
    1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp herbes de Provence, crushed *
    1/4 tsp seasoned salt
    Fresh thyme (optional)

-- For the herbes de Provence --
    1 Tbsp dried marjoram
    1 Tbsp dried thyme
    1 Tbsp dried savory
    1 tsp dried basil
    1 tsp dried rosemary
    1/2 tsp dried sage
    1/2 tsp fennel seed

    Recipe

In a medium bowl stir together the cream cheese, butter, garlic, parsley, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, herbes de Provence (method below), and seasoned salt. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Garnish with fresh thyme, if desired.

    Serve with assorted crackers.

    * This spread calls for herbes de Provence, a blend of herbs often used in French cooking -- you can find it in the spice section of the supermarket or make your own:

To make herbes de Provence: In a small storage container, combine all herbes de Provence ingredients; store in an airtight container. Crush before using. (Makes 1-1/3 cups.)
