    • 4 tablespoons margarine
    • 4 tablespoons flour
    • 2 cups hot water
    • 2 cubes chicken bouillon
    • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon pepper


    Instructions


    1. Melt margarine in a saucepan.
    2. Add flour and stir well with a whisk until a thick paste has formed.
    3. Allow to cook until frothy and bubbly.
    4. Dissolve bouilon in hot water.
    5. Slowly add the resulting broth to the paste, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
    6. Heat until boiling.
    7. Season with garlic powder and pepper to taste.
