    ANGEL BISCUITS

    List of Ingredients

    � 1 pkg. (2 � tsp) Active Dry Yeast
    � � c warm Water (100'-115')
    � 3 � c Flour
    � � tsp Baking Soda
    � 2 tsp Baking Powder
    � � tsp Salt
    � � c Sugar
    � � c Butter Crisco
    � 1 c Buttermilk
    � 1 Egg, beaten

    Recipe

    1. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
    2. In large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder,
    salt, and sugar. Cut in butter Crisco with a pastry blender. Stir in
    buttermilk, yeast mixture, and egg; blending thoroughly.
    3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and
    elastic. Roll out dough to �" thickness and cut with 2" biscuit cutter
    (or glass.)
    4. Place on a lightly greased baking sheet; let dough rise slightly.
    Preheat oven to 400'.
    5. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Yield: about 24 biscuits
