    List of Ingredients




    > 2 packages Dry Yeast
    > Warm Water
    > 1 Tbsp. Sugar
    > 4 cups Flour
    > 8 tsp. (2 Tbsp. + 2 tsp.) Baking Powder
    > 1/2 tsp. Salt
    > 2 T. Sugar
    > 6 Tbsp. (3/8 cup) melted Shortening or Oil

    > Makes 35
    >
    > Combine yeast, 1/2 cup warm water, and the
    > tablespoonful of sugar; let stand 5 minutes.
    >
    > Meanwhile, sift flour, baking powder, and salt into a
    > large bowl.
    >
    > Combine 1 cup warm water with the two tablespoonfuls
    > of sugar and the melted shortening or oil. Combine wet
    > ingredients with flour mixture to form a soft dough.
    >
    > Turn onto floured board; knead until smooth.
    >
    > Roll out biscuit dough fairly thin, and cut into about
    > 35 rounds.
    >
    > Grease tops of all biscuits. Make short stacks of two
    > biscuits each, one on top of the other.
    >
    > Place in a greased pan; let rise until double.
    >
    > Bake in hot oven (425-F degrees) 15-20 minutes, or
    > until nicely browned.
