    London Broil

    List of Ingredients




    1 to 1 1/4 lb. beef flank steak
    1 sm. onion, chopped
    2 T. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    2 T. ketchup
    1 T. brown sugar
    2 T. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce or to taste

    Recipe



    Place flank steak and chopped onion in shallow glass baking dish. Combine vinegar, water, ketchup, brown sugar, oil, salt and hot sauce; mix thoroughly. Pour over steak; turn steak, cover dish and marinate in refrigerator for 12 to 24 hr.

    Place steak in broiler pan, broil 3-4 " from the heat. Broil for 5 minutes; turn steak, brush with marinade and broil for 5 minutes, to get rare.

    Carve diagonally into very thin slices.

    Makes 4-6 servings.
