    Creamy Pumpkin Pie - part 2

    Pie Crust


    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 cup shortening
    • 2 1/2 tablespoons ice water


    Instructions


    1. Blend ingredients into dough and chill for at least 1 hour before rolling.
    2. After rolling & placing into pie pan, return to refrigerator to chill again before filling & baking.


    Final Comments


    This pie crust works equally well for other pie recipes. It is the one that I've used all my life.
